Assited Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist / Quality Assurance Nurse - Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, ND

Strasburg Care Center is looking for a nurse to fill the position of Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist & Quality Assurance Coordinator. This position is for an RN will be full time.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, holding a current & unencumbered license.
  • 3 or more years of nursing experience, preferably in long term care
  • Education & experience in quality assurance and infection prevention preferred

Major Duties & Responsibilities but not limited too

  • Develop & implement an ongoing infection prevention & control program to prevent, recognize, and control the onset & spread of infections in order to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment.
  • Establish a facility wide system for the prevention, identification, reporting, investigation, and control of infections & communicable diseases of residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee the antibiotic stewardship program.
  • Oversee resident care activities that increase risk of infection (i.e., use and care of urinary catheters, wound care, incontinence care, skin care, point-of-care blood testing, medication injections).
  • Participation on the QAA Committee.
  • Works with DON and administrator to ensure compliance with all applicable state & federal laws.

The Strasburg Care Center is a 38-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Strasburg, ND, located in South Central North Dakota
